The Venture Community Association is situated in
a vibrant and diverse area of west London. The Community Centre
predominantly serves Golborne Ward, North Kensington.
The Association strives to run an inclusive programme of activities,
courses and public events that echo the varying cultures that
it serves.
Throughout its forty year history, the organisation has grown
and now provides an increasing range of services, which reflect
the needs of the surrounding community.
The organisation's success lies in its recognition of these needs,
tailoring services, developing partnerships and empowering its
users. We provide and assist in the provision of play
and other facilities, to develop the physical, mental and spiritual
capacities of children, young people and the families.
We aim to create a safe and friendly environment, offering informal
support. Here people can meet others and access services such
as community events, opportunities for learning, information,
advice and guidance and a venue for private celebrations.
Over the past year the Centre has gone through a time of change,
an essential part of evolving with a community. Many staff have
moved on and some new faces have arrived, but the services the
association provides continue to grow.
Membership costs £2 per year (£1 for
unwaged) which entitles you to come to and vote at the AGM, receive
newsletters and inspect the Memorandum and Articles of Association
which govern the running of the Association.
